Reflect The Lord's Glory

What a blessing to be able to come before God in worship. Jesus our High Priest has opened the door that we might come into the very presence of God without fear and boldly approach Him with our praise and petitions. Last Sunday in our worship we ran to the tomb with Peter and John. We analyzed all that we saw in the tomb with John. Finally, we joined Peter and John in the tomb and expressed our faith in Jesus.

Our journey of faith goes deeper and further as we draw near to God in worship. After being in the presence of God we “reflect His glory.” Has our visit to the tomb and our discovery of the resurrection of Jesus made a difference in our lives since Sunday? Is it business as usual? Is our encounter with God demonstrated by our reflecting God’s glory in our lives? Can the people at the office see that we are on a journey of faith? Can the people we live with see Jesus reflected in our lives?

Are we reflecting Jesus’ love for God?

Are we reflecting Jesus’ devotion to God in prayer and worship?

Are we reflecting Jesus’ eagerness to forgive those who wrong us?

Are we reflecting Jesus’ willingness to battle temptation?

Are we reflecting Jesus’ patience with people?

One thing is for sure, none of us has arrived to the point of perfectly reflecting Jesus. Another is sure, as we enter God’s presence in worship, we leave reflecting the glory of the Lord and God transforms us. Walking with Jesus is a journey of faith. This transformation is a process. Step by step, little by little, we see ourselves being changed into the likeness of Jesus. Thank God the glory is “ever increasing.”

As you prepare for worship Sunday, prepare to enter the presence of God. As you enter the presence of God, prepare to be transformed by Go so we can reflect His glory throughout the week.

“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” 2 Corinthians 3:18.

I’m so thankful to be on this journey of faith with you!
